About the event

Micropods are small groups of children who come together to play and learn. Micropod families agree to limit their exposure to people outside of their pod. Pods normally consist of 3 - 6 children ​and are  a popular solution to learning through the coronavirus pandemic.

Our Pre-K curriculum for 3Y - 5Y include Science & Nature Play, Art & Messy Play, Early Numeracy & Literacy, Sports, Movement & Music. It is designed to prepare children to become independent and curious learners in Kindergarten! 

Strong Start teachers are qualified teachers in early childhood education and follow play-based pedagogy. Teachers are trained in observing, tracking and reporting children's development so that parents remain informed of children's progress. 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Strong Start is taking measures to ensure the safety and well-being of children, caregivers and teachers. To this end, teachers will follow strong hygiene protocols including:

  • Wearing facemasks
  • Employing structured handwashing times
  • Implementing social distancing protocols

Fee Structure: Micropods are charged a set fee for the entire pod (up to 6 children). Parents are encouraged to form their own pods up to 6 children and then split the pod fees amongst themselves.

Half Days:

1 day / week: KES 29,500

2 days / week: KES 49,500

3 days / week: KES 76,500 

4 days / week: KES 95,500

5 days / week: KES 109,500

Full Days: 

1 day / week: KES 41,000

2 days / week: KES 69,000

3 days / week: KES 105,000 

4 days / week: KES 130,000

5 days / week: KES 155,000

*Prices above reflect the monthly cost for an entire pod of up to 6 children.

  • Rotating Venues - Weekly

    This ticket allows micropods to change venues every week. Micropods will be charged KES 8,000 / month to change venues every week. *Please note that additional charges may apply, depending on the location of micropods.
