Cooking for PreSchoolers (3Y - 5Y)
This 2-hour cooking class is developed to teach Pre-Ks (3y - 5y) practical life skills and food literacy. Children will be introduced to basic cooking, dining & cleaning concepts for the kitchen.

About The Event
Introducing children to cooking at an early age offers them foundational life skills. In this playgroup, children aged 3Y - 5Y will be introduced to basic cooking, dining & cleaning concepts for the kitchen.
Children crave consistency and repetition. This full course allows them to be comfortable with their new environment and develop practical skills in the kitchen, and in life.
The curriculum capitalizes on children’s developmental stage and sensitive periods, so the recipes are simplified to strengthen their gross motor skills while developing and refining their fine motor skills.
Students are encouraged to try new ingredients, and discover different ways to prepare fruits and vegetables that make them more appealing.
Each class will offer children opportunities to cook a dish that they will enjoy together in class. In this 2-hour class, children will learn concepts such as food preparation (washing, cutting, peeling, measuring), cooking (mixing, kneading, etc) setting tables, serving food, and kitchen clean up.
This is a full 10-class course. Children may attend without caregivers.
