Nanny & Me Playgroup - Lavington

Our Nanny & Me Playgroups are designed to work with your baby from 6-months - 3years for a morning of development-driven, structured play activities that that prepare them for their transition to preschool. Nannies receive coaching in creating fun and stimulating play activities at home, while your child engages in play to benefit key areas of development.

Playgroup activities focus on sensory development through play. We incorporate all areas of development, including gross & fine motor skills, language development, cognitive development and social-emotional development.

Children enrolled in the full-term receive a report card at the end of each term, highlighting achieved developmental milestones and areas of concentration.

Schedule:

9:30am – 10:00am: Drop-off & free play

10:00am - 10:30am: Music & movement activities

10:30am - 10:45am: Snacks & refreshments

10:45am - 11:40am: Sensory play activities

11:40am - 11:50am: Closing circle time (story telling, goodbye song)

11:50am – 12:00pm: Change, clean up & goodbyes

What to Pack for Your Child:

1. Snacks & refreshments

2. Extra change of clothing

3. Art smock (if you have one; it's okay if you don't - all paints are water based and washable)

4. Child essentials (diapers, wipes, etc)

5. Weather appropriate clothing (i.e. sunhat, rain jacket, boots, sweater, etc)

6. Apron for nanny (we get messy!)

Expectations:

- Nannies are expected to fully participate in the playgroup - please advise your nanny of this prior to class so that everyone is committed to making the space a positive learning environment!

- Unless it is actually raining, we will be outside! Please dress your child appropriately and please encourage your nanny to also dress for the weather!
