We love this activity because it is child-led. Child-led play supports children in having their own ideas and being control of their own learning.
All you will need for this activity is a piece of cardboard, crayons, masking tape and colored toys or items that can be attached to the piece of cardboard.
Gather your materials together. Using the crayons, colour squares onto the cardboard. Once the squares are coloured in, go on a scavenger hunt to find items that match the colour of the square.
TIPS:
1. You can prepare a scavenger hunt in advance with small colored toys or items around the house.
2. Prepare your cardboard ahead of time so that your little one can jump into the scavenger hunt! pieces of masking tape in advance to avoid wastage.
